An expected response is the “baby” has no voice. As a scientist, I object. Life is more accurately described as biology. We need to protect the whole biosphere if we are truly Pro-Life.

A narrow definition of life is wildly misleading. A forest has no voice. An ocean has no voice. The next extinct species has no voice.

So Pro Voice is a great term for this debate. It honors those who should have a voice, without referencing those that don’t, such as an unborn chimp, or unborn lion cub.

What is worthy of our protection is debatable, but claiming only one narrow percent of one species is “life” is just plain ignorant.
