As a woman who also had no choice, my heart goes out to you. Obviously, those of us who only had miscarriage, endometriosis, cysts, fibroids, and heartache, had no more choice than a man who can’t “choose” to be pregnant. Choice only works for those who are granted (human rights here) it in the realm of what is possible.
Our free will, to the extent that we have it, requires choice. Congratulations on your child, we were never able to have one, and that tragedy scars many. It does make life FAR more sacred to me, though, and now I love all life as passionately, and protectively, as I would any human child.
The key to morality is that every baby is wanted, every species.
It just requires that we leave comprehend earth is to share and celebrate, equally, rather than created for one selfish species. We are in grave crisis, and we must choose life over pollution, death, and extinction.
