As Feminism is about equality and dignity, it cannot be feminism that allows abuse. Instead, think about how persons should respect and regard persons. Also, a man (or woman) who wants to "avoid an argument" is one who does not wish to expose vulnerability, the basis for all good relations, and a real necessity to create trust.
