Let’s not pretend that disrespect for Ukraine is separate from disrespect of planet. Oppression displaces people and planet.

IPCC news should alert you

It’s horrific what is happening in Ukraine. However, you cannot separate the issue of a madman who wants glory, power, authority, wealth and fame from the way in which those same “values” are also oppressing our planet.

Domination ideology has this way of demanding: Mine. Mine. Mine.

Mine, not yours. Mine it all till it’s gone.

The IPCC report today was several headlines below the Ukraine News. People, I believe, get far more excited and interested when a social or political tragedy occurs. We are less stimulated to learn that the IPCC (Inter governmental Panel on Climate Crisis) is warning that millions more will die in coming decades due to our ability to continue serving whims like those of Putin.

That is, Putin, like many despots (some in our own nation) wants to keep the oil and gas flowing, although unequivocally, accelerated heating has been shown to be driven by our human emissions.

The already begun crisis is most marked by lethal heatwaves, drowning floods, and more…
