E Warren checked into her DNA because she did not know. That's why anyone does. She claimed native ancestry was "family lore." I do not see how this could be a lie, as family lore is just told from one gen to another as "the story."

As to nature, I think she would love to be native, as they are now seen as closer to protecting our world than industrialized colonizers are.

It's a good thing she, and others, have begun to see the value of indigenous belonging.
