Fascinating subject. Nature worship, or animism seems to have become polytheism because early people were inter-connected to the land, waters, & sky much more (in awareness)than we are today. I am an ecopsychologist, so I believe in E.O Wilson’s Sociobiology, and biophilia. I do agree that monotheism is limiting.
