I believe this fiction is why men are more crazed about guns and weapons, too. We can't even have a funeral service in our area without some guy across the valley blasting away. It seems disturbing of the peace, but it's accepted here. Our armed police are usually men--even now--so no peace can come from them so long as this view persists.
