Making the world a little colder

Every week it feels as though a new development unfolds in politics, social standing, and leadership. This week, Russia (hopefully) is bowing out of Ukraine.

Because everything is related to everything else, leadership and uncertainty in Europe will have quite a number of unpredictable consequences in the fall and winter of 2022 and 2023.

Record floods and fires in 2022 swirled the world. Cold snaps and ice storms, an expected — and continuing — outcome of the climate crisis, will hit some regions and spare others. All of this with the uncertain background of Putin’s pouty fits and international trade deals. All of this while some are in an uprising against toxic energy and politics, and some are in an uprising in fear of losing the status quo.

Migrants and refugees will come. Don’t pretend our only option is to let them die.

Even the possibility of nuclear war, or accident, is still possible. Here is the thing: people need fuel, we did not…
