Simple and sensible elections

First, Election day becomes a national holiday. Everybody, even gig workers, homemakers, etc., all get the day off. Keeping working-class people from voting is very one-sided, and simply unfair.

No more gerrymandering. We live in a kooky distract that looks like it was drawn by a four-year-old trying to draw a Baroque dragon living inside the fiords of Norway. The purpose of re-drawing districts is to discourage one side and encourage the other side. No more of this nonsense.

No more electoral college. The electoral college was based on sexism, classism, and racism and does not represent either freedom of choice, or the kind of technology we now have to allow everybody to have a direct say. If a credit card company can move electronic digits that empty your bank balance in a flash, then you can be certain technology can move a person’s secured vote across the same mysterious ether. Then triple-check it in three more flashes.

No more unbalanced representation. The people of California should have the same amount of representation per square inch, or…
