Lock Her Up! Why Hillary Must Go To Jail For Jeffrey Epstein’s Crimes
…And other outrageous proposals

Reading an article the other day, I made the mistake of going to the comments section. When it was found that child rapist (there’s no other term for it, folks,) Jeffrey Epstein had escaped justice at least once before, people immediately wanted to point out how Hillary Clinton is worse.
The gist of it was this: just think how we would have to impeach Hillary once it is revealed that Bill Clinton is also probably a pedophile, and certainly a rapist. Surely, she knew of her husband’s crimes!
Okay. Let’s say Bill Clinton, like almost every white male president before him, did take unlawful advantage of his white, male privilege. What has that to do with Hillary Clinton?
She did not run for him to be given any more authority, she ran as the most qualified person in history, (at least professionally) to do so.
I get it that she is the worst human ever for changing hairstyles, defending her husband verbally, being “shrill” and “emasculating”. I get it that she was in the political party that wasn’t very attentive to Bernie Bros. I even get it, that as a Washington insider, Hillary Clinton was as corrupt as Donald Jr’s left pinkie toe. And, let’s not forget those emails.
What I don’t get is why we have to attack every woman, female victim, or by-stander, before we have even begun to serve justice for the actual criminals?
Why does Predator Trump remain unimpeachable, while people begin to howl loudly about the long-ago Bill Clinton administration? Why do so many people love to point out that Harvey Weinstein’s victims willingly signed non-disclosure agreements, and protected their careers? Why do we have to hear about how young women trafficked by Epstein and cronies were “yeah, but sixteen going on thirty?” Or, that someone like Lorena Bobbitt, if she was really ‘sodomized regularly’ did not go to the police? What about Anita Hill, Mr. Biden? Who is really a “little bit nutty and a little bit slutty?”
Hillary Clinton is far from perfect. We get it. But it’s time to stop blaming women once and for all for all the shenanigans since Thomas Jefferson’s rape of Sally Hemmings, through to JFK’s complete, hushed up, easy access to procured women, and right on through all the way down to Trump’s grubby, grabby, little, Cheeto, digits.
The fifty-year anniversary of putting a man on the moon, July 20, is also the 171th birthday of Seneca Falls. In 1848, it was first proposed that women should, maybe, kinda, perhaps, a little bit, please? have a say in whether they owned the shirts on their backs, access to their own children, not be legally (as frequently) beaten up, and have, sometimes, the chance to keep their own wages, and yes, even to gasp, VOTE.
May I humbly suggest that women helped get men to the moon, that the old joke “If they can put a man on the moon why not all of them?” is tasteless, and irrelevant. But, a re-working of the same joke, if they can put a man on Mars, why not an orange one on an orangey planet?” may still have some resonance for some of us. Hashtag, #Not all women.
In this world, we are still blaming and shaming women for the most heinous crimes, and even the lesser ones, committed by men.
I have even heard commentary saying that two women, A President Warren, Kamel Harris ticket, for example, is just toooooooooo much. Yet, how often were two white, men, scoffed at for running for president and vice for the last two centuries?
Let’s all grow up. It is almost 200 years since women took the initiative to ask for representation in a liberal democracy. Let’s begin to unlock the metaphorical jail in which we keep Hillary Clinton. And let’s lock up real predators, instead.
