People named Queen Elizabeth are pretty badass

Millions of people throughout the world look up to the British matriarch. I can understand their mourning, while still questioning the purpose of the monarchy.

While the royal family has gone through war, scandal, and tragedy, Queen Elizabeth has endured. She’s really been very strong. She does inspire millions to see women as capable and hard-working. She saw herself as in service, and I am no one to judge how much good she has really done in the final summary of these past many decades.

Q. E. I, who remained a virgin her whole life, was likely onto something. Your kids are going to embarrass you, and men will try to dominate and monarch-splain to you. Politics and pressure could eat you alive.

You may be better off saying “Nooooooooooo thank you so very much.

But Q. E. II. had no such choice.

She was never so much attacked personally as was her circumstances. Let’s face it, some of them have been pretty crazy.
