My outlook is not quite as doomer, although all you say is likely. We need green cities, attention (inevitable) to climate refugees, focus on the loss of food and food supply-- not just farming/ranching, fires, and famine, but also to the sixth extinction. H5N1 and other plagues will reach a place where they simply can NOT be ignored.

Hopefully, then our values will be impacted and people who are not in the war camp will demand better policy and greening. As green energy is profitable and cheaper than oil--and as capitalism sees this, it will slowly change for those left.
