Ocean Cruisers Are Losers
Having seen it in person, I stand by my claim

An ocean of trouble
Having recently posted about cruising, I received lots of positive response, but also some push back.
Apparently, many people still cannot see that exploitation of people, planets, and places, is a big blight upon our human race.
Profits are huge, and workers receive low wages. Tourism is redirected from local flavor to directed “attractions”, usually aboard the ship.
Besides coastlines flooding, gulf streams disrupting weather, whale strikes, and oceans rising, our oceans are in big trouble from pollution, acidification, and heating.
The “I am entitled to it,” mentality is the reason why.
Many who objected, were people who say “But not me.” Or, they say, “cruising offers jobs.” Or, that “it’s not about the gluttony for me!”
When I murder little old ladies, while robbing widows, I could say “It’s not about the money, it’s about the thrill.” If I did so, it does not change the damage done in the least.
(Also, did you realize most widows are pretty badass and fight back? They’re like our mother Earth.)
