She’s a girl!
Let’s say the newborn is a girl. By age twelve or so, she could be impregnated. Although this is now considered rape, it still happens every day with barely a whisper, and more often than not, no negative consequence to the rapist.
We even continue to applaud the accomplishments of the daddy, particularly if he is a genius: Charlie Chaplin, Jerry Lee Lewis, Elvis Presley. Woody Allen ?
New laws across our great land go further. They wish to see a woman’s right to choose not to have a child as a vigilante cause for “moral” folks to force her to have a baby.
Feeling the weight of social pressure, judgment, sorrow, guilt, to say nothing of the weight on her bladder, the woman anxiously agrees.
Hooray. Life wins!
There may be some balloons.
Then all help out of incest, abuse, poverty, ill-health, post-natal depression, and/or any other aid for mom or baby sail away like those stupid balloons.
