Burning bright

Living and struggling in what many dub the End times, you will hear a lot of comments about how Earth is better off without us.

Or, conversely, you might hear the exact opposite: “Have MORE children, they can save us!”

Both of these ideas are dead wrong.

There is no healthy planet if we destroy it with Putin bombs, ill-gotten war profiteering, a horrific radiation accident, or just plain ole fashion Sixth Extinction, Climate crisis, famine, flood and fire.

Ah the classics! … flood, fire and brimstone, so biblical and always popular.

People have very human, and therefore romantic, or Hollywood versions of what the end means.

It is not fast. It is not pretty.

They forget about the suffering of all living organisms and systems should we suddenly decide to leave this dump to take care of itself.

A little background extinction

All bets are off given the nuclear annihilation of Earth. Probably, we should all just say NO!
