What is your pet’s name?

I bet you have an animal that you dearly love.

You also have animals you love to eat. You also have animals that keep you alive, each and every day, although you usually forget about them due to our industrial and digital world marginalizing them to the slave quarters.

We have a natural attraction to all animals because they are kin. They teach us everything we know. They fascinate, innovate, inform, and inspire.

Step off the ladder and into the embracing arms of your family tree

Please realize you are not any more evolved than any other animal. Evolution is not a ladder, and we sapiens need to celebrate our branching family membership.

Grass, by way of changing genetically, is more “evolved.” If you measure success by survival, jellyfish have been around for five hundred million years.
