replace with love is a good idea. There is no such thing as a person who is not 'brainwashed' as that is called socialization. Humans are not meant to be more evolved, because evolution is neutral. As to we're all like Nazis, yes, socialized (people who grow up in a culture) learn to judge good guys and bad guys. We MUST think we are the good guys which is exactly how fascism happens--by having scapegoats. My guess is your love is sincere. Let's just hope all knowledge of these things touches both heart and mind. Killing children is never helpful, except to create terrorists-- or feed the Them Vs Us machine.
