Thanks for all your thoughts. I like the term "sacrificial battery." I may not know entirely how you feel about the strength we expect from men, but I think it is useful to examine why we expect "good" people in general, to always be in a struggle.

You should post an article about your thoughts and insights.

Attaining equality is a constant vigil. I do understand, however, why people in the fight for "good" are overwhelmed and exhausted. Change happens daily in our socialization. Over time, I hope that both men and women come to be seen as valid in what they feel and think, and how they are appreciated. That said, I do not think all of us have the same definition of "strength" or even of "good." For me, strength comes from vigilant persistence, which can be quiet, masculine or feminine. I look at what nature does, and see that eternal time and nature together weave the universe--something we can learn much more about
