the saying "when you know better you do better" comes to mind. It's too late to not know that consumption is eating our planet, so please don't give up. As to the 'virtual signaling,' concern, never forget that those who accuse it are wanting people to keep consuming for their personal greed.

Just go easy on yourself and find middle path. Most of all, go spend time outdoors, the wildlife and birds will always grace you, never scold you.
