There has been every kind of slavery through hisotry from loving household (rare?) to trafficking of women and children, to murder.

We only have stopped some of it because people realize it causes more problems than just econimc inequality.

I don't think there are many humans alive whose ancestors were not enslaved to some degree, with the worst examples being racist and sexist chattel enslavement.
