This is a huge challenge. Please take good care of yourself, Malarina, and the beasts! When my mother broke her back, they gave her coma inducing meds which also messed with memory and lucidity. Be on the watch out for that, it could be many factors. For me, the hardest part was I couldn't say "Goodbye" because her "wherefore I know not" mind was not there. (She also loved Shakespeare and I caught it.)
