Unpopular Strong Opinions by Christyl Rivers

The Artemis Mission to return to the moon after a long absence of fifty-plus years is not treated with the same excitement, and public engagement, as the missions of Apollo.

There are a lot of reasons for this.
People are distracted trying to survive life on the move on Earth

People are divided. Many of Earth have decided they don’t like other Earthlings.

People are disengaged. We have no common rival (Russia) to race up there.

People are less educated. They don’t link knowledge and science to their own lives.

People are uninspired. Going to the moon first is a one-time miracle, and now it’s kinda “whatever.”

People are racist and sexist. They have mixed feelings about the first woman and person of color being mandated for Apollo’s twin sister mission.

Alice in Wonder

This morning I thought about Alice in Wonderland. So many questions.
