Moods have been low at our home. Sick, elderly kitty. Fervent wishes for rain, but more dying trees. Faraway, the poor tortoises at Joshua Tree National Park are baking in their shells. Every being across the hotter world that is hurting triggers sadness. Then there is Ukraine. Meanwhile, hot heads all nodding at once fan the flames of our political madness and our fraught election process. Sigh.
Is anything getting better?
I hoped to lighten things up. Just a bit of political ridicule. Yet, I am also aware there are good people who are offended and hurt, as we seem so divided. Maybe it’s not the best time to expose naked, orange emperors; so, then, when is the right time for anyone to have to see that?
Mark Twain said No amount of evidence will ever persuade an idiot. All people once in a while, will be an idiot for half an hour. But, it’s distressing when a vast tide of people is carried off by a blood-red wave of lies for years.
Verbal ridicule is probably preferable to inciting violence. Inspiring just a little smile is better than dumping…
