Van Gogh In Canada
1 min readSep 8, 2020
I know nature as fresh forest, surging, pulsing green
Shooting shockwaves that consign me to consumed serene
The way rays of a blazing sun stir me into a glacial lake
Senses unwound, undone, in one stabbing, thrilling ache
I do not often know nature by taxonomy or rote
But by gallop in my heart at first spring of newborn goat
I feel the force of nature in full abundance, yet economy
I know nature swirls through me the way Van Gogh knows astronomy
