Vlad is bad. Volod is God.

Vlad the baddie, and Volod our world god

That’s it. Six words. That’s the shortest poem I ever wrote:

Vlad is bad. Volod is God.

I had been musing about how John Lennon got himself in so much trouble simply for being so popular a half-century ago. The Beatles at the time were as popular as God, but God help you, if someone admitted it.

Volod is the world’s hero. An every-man (who is actually extremely gifted) becomes a world inspiration.

Putin is a supervillain.

But you can’t really say Volod is God, even in 2023. How crazy it is that we are afraid of the truth when it is obvious to everyone. Almost everyone.

People who fight for peace do change the world. An endless war is not the way to go, but it will go for as long as it does, won’t it?

Sigh. This part is painful. The war is a horrific waste of our human potential to address our most pressing issues.

Personally, I think we should tell Vlad that he won.
