We are all going to die

If you look at the headlines, or do your diligent doom scrolling, these days, you know it’s hopeless and we’re all going to die.

April is, after all, the cruelest month.

Spring is bursting out all over

Look at this lovely, spring photograph.

This insanely springing frenzy of life, budding blooming, and vigorous orchards are going to die.

All of us animal species — and most plants — (except those very special jelly fish, Turritopsis) are going to die.

The orchards and meadows die back in the fall and winter.

Humans need to learn from this.

Easter weekend, (more like a spring pagan holiday of rebirth in our home), was just lovely here in Washington State. We hiked down to the Deschutes waterfall and watched the high, and roaring river surge. No pun there, there really are Roaring Rivers this time of year.

The river rolls vitality, power, replenishment, greening life, and inspiration.
