Are you more important than grass?
Are you saved? A patriot? A humanist? One of the good guys?
The biggest issue we see again and again with some religious people is that they truly believe that if they make one particular choice, they are ‘chosen’ and therefore more special than anyone else.
They think they are more important than grass. Or insects. Or rocks. Or stars, or anything you can name.
I have heard of human beings surviving without eight billion human beings, but I have never heard of life continuing without plants, or insects, or rocks, or sunlight.
It takes a vast, huge, big, enormous, gigantic, titanic, and massive amount of ego to believe this way. It also takes much (fill in with words meaning a whopping lot) of social programming.
It tells others, “Well, I can tell you what to do with your body and soul because mine is especially favored, and I hold exclusive rights to the truth.”
