Woke is one of those words we use our own implicit bias to decide about. There is tremendous racism in Africa and India, lighter people there absolutely get better "goodies." The words literate and woke should not be confused. Most people of basic literacy know most of what you say about geography, slavery, and patriarchy. Yet, somehow you get it wildly distorted. Did you forget our patriarchy held women as property for most of the last 15,000 years? That's slavery.

Patriarchy is a system we all are in, and it's not about dress codes, it's about social hierarchy. No one on earth has avoided it 100%

On the other hand, yes the USA is American-centric, and we would all love to have a long lunch to discuss.
