Yes, my mother lived at a time when socialization was powerful, so she took a back seat in general. But to this day, we all live in a time where men typically make more. My mother had a degree but my dad had military, and thus hierarchical training, on top of all those layers.

I think being quietly powerful IS powerful, I guess.
