You are correct. I should have been much more specific that I was speaking about a Shooter, or a person with a "motive" to employ violence against others. I truly regret not specifying that I was speaking of someone who perceives their powerlessness and has no internal locus of control.

I too had many motives to thrive, get a job, and live in a home, but most all of us have non-violent motives in these things.
