You are definitely not alone in this! I would add fossil fuels. What? ?Yes. Fossil fuels changed the way we lived from tight community to sprawling global networks connected by cars and cargo. It aided the tech and Social media you mention. It also made our food non-communal, and more processed.

Culture sprang from our connection to place, nature, food, and people. We no longer have that in the same ways.

What to do? More connection work.
