My body my choice?

Chelsea Handler on the Daily Show did a great bit on choice. For those of you — from populists to the pope — who see motherhood as something less selfish than childlessness, check it out. Desi Lydic did another, complaining about flying on planes next to a screaming child — her own.

Let’s face it, having more than two babies is selfish in the 21st century.

These bright women point out the many failures of our culture to truly support mothers while at the same time, we claim to revere them.

What does having a child cost you? Well, these days, a million dollars (at least, until age eighteen) much free time, little support, a dying planet, a loss of your perfect body, a loss of sleep, loss of quality time with (non-poopy) loved ones — including spouse, a loss of sanity, a constant barrage of pressure and acquisition, the loss of free creativity, a loss of your boobs/body bounciness, and some of your health, a true threat to your life, your once judgment-free social time, the loss of privacy, the loss of most…
